Venezuela has condemned Trump's statement on the closure of airspace over the country.

Venezuela condemns the statement by US President Donald Trump threatening the country's sovereignty, in which the politician called on all airlines to consider the airspace over and around Venezuela closed. This was announced on November 29 by the Foreign Minister of the Bolivarian Republic, Ivan Gil Pinto.

"The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela strongly condemns the public statement posted on social media today by the President of the United States, in which he attempts to extraterritorially apply illegal U.S. jurisdiction to Venezuela, issue orders and threaten the sovereignty of the national airspace, territorial integrity, aviation security and sovereignty of the Venezuelan state," he wrote on the Telegram channel.
