Lydia Cheshkova, a journalist for the publication "Around the World", was a representative of the classical school of journalism. This was announced on November 29 by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.

"Lydia Alexandrovna was a representative of the classical school of journalism," she wrote on the Telegram channel.

According to Zakharova, there was no "graphomania and dilettantism" in Cheshkova's publications, and her works were distinguished by their beautiful style and powerful images.

The death of Cheshkova became known earlier that day. It was clarified that she died at the age of 92. The Union of Journalists of Russia (UJR) emphasized that Cheshkova devoted "all her creative energy" to the magazine.
