The Expert Refereeing Commission (ESC) at the Russian Football Union (RFU) considered that the referee Sergey Karasev correctly scored the goal of the Spartak football club (FC) against FC CSKA in the match of the 16th round of the Russian Premier League (RPL). This was reported on the RFU website on November 29.

"The collision of Spartak goalkeeper Alexander Maksimenko with CSKA attacking player Danil Krugov is not a violation of the rules. <...> Contact between the goalkeeper and the attacking player is inevitable and not punishable," the motivation says.

The commission unanimously recognized the referee's decision not to award a penalty to Spartak's goal, Sport-Express clarifies.

The ESC also unanimously recognized the referee's decision to score a goal against CSKA in the 43rd minute as correct. Spartak football player Igor Dmitriev did not violate the rules against CSKA goalkeeper Igor Akinfeev, touching his hand did not block his actions, the commission clarified.

Earlier, on November 25, Kirill Breido, director of communications at the army club, announced that CSKA FC had initiated an appeal to the RFU ESC after the match against Spartak, which ended with a score of 0.:1. The claims related to an unallocated penalty and a goal scored in the 43rd minute.
