Former Formula 1 driver Adrian Sutil was detained in Germany on suspicion of fraud and grand theft. This was reported by the Bild newspaper on November 29.

According to the newspaper, Sutil, as well as several other people, were detained on November 27 by the Baden-Wuerttemberg police as part of an investigation conducted in Monaco, Switzerland and Germany. At the same time, the specific amount of the athlete's embezzlement is not specified.

It is noted that the 42-year-old racer competed in Formula 1 from 2006 to 2011 and from 2013 to 2014 for the Spyker, Force India, and Sauber teams.

On September 24, it was reported that ten-time biathlon world champion Julia Simon will appear in court on charges of theft and fraud. It was noted that in 2023, the biathlete was detained on suspicion of using other people's bank cards to make purchases in online stores during the Blinkfestivalen ski and roller festival in Norway in 2022.
