A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. In response to Kiev's terrorist attacks on civilian targets on the territory of the Russian Federation, Russian military personnel launched a massive strike with precision weapons and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) against enterprises of the military-industrial complex (MIC) of Ukraine and energy facilities that ensure their operation.

The North group of troops defeated Ukrainian armed formations in the areas of the settlements of Pavlovka, Andreevka, Novaya Sich and Varachino, Sumy region, Vilcha, Ternovaya, Rubezhnoye, Volchansk, Shestakovo, Kharkiv region and the city of Kharkov. As a result of the actions of Russian military personnel, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) lost up to 125 soldiers, two armored combat vehicles, 13 vehicles, two electronic warfare stations, and a warehouse of materiel.

Units of the Center group of forces have improved their position along the front line, and in the village of Krasnoarmeysk in the DPR, assault groups of the second army are successfully advancing in the eastern part of the city and the Dinas microdistrict, and the mopping-up of the village of Rovnoye is also continuing.

"Nine attacks by units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from the Grishino settlement area of the Donetsk People's Republic were repelled in order to unblock the encircled formations. Up to 25 Ukrainian servicemen were killed. In the village of Dimitrov, the 51st Army's assault detachments continued to dislodge the enemy from the Vostochny and Zapadny neighborhoods, as well as from the southern part of the city. During the day, up to 290 servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were destroyed in the Red Army area," the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement.

The Russian army, with the help of aviation, attack drones, missiles and artillery, defeated the infrastructure of a military airfield, storage and launch sites for long-range drones, as well as temporary locations of Ukrainian armed formations and foreign mercenaries in 157 districts.

In turn, air defense systems shot down two long-range guided missiles "Neptune" and 158 aircraft-type drones.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, since the beginning of the special operation, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have lost 668 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 99,460 UAVs, 638 anti-aircraft missile systems, 26,316 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,621 multiple rocket launchers, 31,626 field artillery and mortars, 47,949 pieces of special vehicles.
