Mironov proposed to freeze food prices a month before the New Year

On November 29, the leader of the Fair Russia party, Sergei Mironov, proposed freezing food prices a month before the New Year.

"Now, on the eve of the New Year, food prices are rising again. We suggest that from December 1 of this year to January 10, we freeze the prices of food and beverages. Let people celebrate the New Year normally," the TASS news agency quoted him as saying.

According to Mironov, the demand for food has been falling in recent months, as residents of Russia are trying to save on it.
