Greece claims losses due to support for Ukraine
Due to Ukraine's support, Greece lost Russian tourists, which led to losses in the country's economy. This was stated on November 28 by the chairman of the Greek Parliament Nikitas Kaklamanis at a meeting with the head of the party and the European People's Party (EPP) faction in the European Parliament, Manfred Weber.
Kaklamanis stressed that "Greece, as well as the Greek parliament, have been overwhelmingly on the side of Ukraine from the very beginning. And this was done with huge economic losses for Greece," since "one and a half million Russian tourists coming to Greece stopped coming," the press service of the Greek parliament quoted Kaklamanis as saying on its official website.
