An earthquake of magnitude 5.8 occurred in Guatemala. This was announced on November 27 on the official website of the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC).
The epicenter of the tremors was located 46 km north of the city of Tapachula in Mexico and six km northwest of Tacana. The earthquake was centered at a depth of 140 km.

Earlier in the day, a magnitude 6.6 earthquake struck in eastern Indonesia near the island of Simelue. The epicenter of the event was located 46 km northwest of the city of Sinabanga. The earthquake was centered at a depth of 25 km.
