Russian President Vladimir Putin said on November 28 that he had received an increased scholarship, which at that time amounted to 40 rubles.

"I once received an increased scholarship, it was 40 rubles, and I was very happy about it," Putin said at a meeting with participants of the V Congress of Young Scientists.

This fact from the biography of the President of the Russian Federation was noticed when he announced the establishment of an increased postgraduate scholarship in the amount of 75 thousand rubles by the state in 2024.

"Starting in 2024, a total of thousands of graduate students from all over the country, including from scientific and educational organizations in Donbass and Novorossiya, receive a scholarship in the amount of 75 thousand rubles per month," Putin stressed.
