A major of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was eliminated in Sumy region.

Major of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) Vladimir Kolesnichenko from the Cyber Threat Counteraction department was eliminated in the Sumy region. This was reported on November 28 in the Russian law enforcement agencies.

"The liquidation of Major Vladimir Nikolaevich Kolesnichenko, born in 1996, a senior officer of the cyber threat counteraction department, has been confirmed," the TASS news agency quoted.

It is noted that the liquidation occurred as a result of an attack by an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) "Geran-2" on the control center of the cybersecurity center of the special communications and Information Protection Service of Ukraine.
