Political analyst Alexander Asafov said that the searches at the head of the office of the Ukrainian president were, in fact, a direct signal to the President of Ukraine, Vladimir Zelensky, that it was time to stop looking for workarounds and making new demands.

In conversation with Lenta.Ru On Friday, November 28, the political scientist expressed the opinion that searches at Andrey Ermak's place were carried out, in particular, in order to push Zelensky to sign a peace agreement. He recalled that the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAP) and the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) are controlled not by the office of the president, but by external structures, and therefore can become a solid basis for further charges.

According to the expert, this was a sensitive blow for Zelensky. He noted that much depends on what materials and testimony will be discovered. In general, according to him, "the shells are exploding very close," and the signal from the United States looks extremely transparent and requires an unambiguous understanding. If Zelensky ignores him, the consequences, according to the political scientist, may be much more severe.

Earlier on November 28, it was reported that Verkhovna Rada deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak said that NABU and SAP investigators had searched the office of the Ukrainian president, Andriy Ermak. According to media reports, as a result of the searches at Ermak's, no one has been charged yet.

On November 26, Verkhovna Rada deputy Mariana Bezuglaya announced that Vladimir Zelensky was looking for a replacement for the head of his office, Andrei Ermak. She also noted that, presumably, similar processes have been launched in other areas.
