"The countries of the global South and East, including the BRICS state partners, are showing great interest in the format, and prominent representatives of the Russian business community are making a significant contribution to its work," she said.

The diplomat reported on the active development of the BRICS Women's Business Alliance, created at the initiative of Russia in 2019. Among the flagship projects, she highlighted the Unified Digital Platform, the Women's Entrepreneurship Forum and the BRICS Women's Startup Competition.

Zakharova also noted the significant contribution of prominent representatives of the Russian business community to the work of the format, listing Anna Nesterova, founder of the Palekh Watch manufactory, Kristina Romanovskaya, General Director of the Lazarevskoye breeding farm, and other successful women leaders.

According to the representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, special attention within the framework of the BRICS women's format is paid to the creative economy, tourism, innovative development and other relevant areas of cooperation.
