The State Duma has denied rumors about plans to raise the retirement age in Russia.

The issue of a new pension reform and raising the retirement age is not being discussed by the authorities on any platforms. This was announced on November 28 by Yaroslav Nilov, head of the Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Veterans' Affairs.

"The State Duma has bills on this topic (raising the retirement age. — Ed.) No. And there are no conversations on any platforms, in any form, either open or closed," Nilov said in an interview with TASS.
