Summary of the special operation in Ukraine for the week

A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. In response to Ukraine's terrorist attacks on civilian targets in Russia, the Russian Armed Forces carried out massive and six group strikes, which hit Ukrainian military industry enterprises, fuel and energy, transport and port infrastructure facilities used in the interests of the Armed Forces, workshops for the production of ammunition and attack unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), storage facilities unmanned boats (BEC), as well as temporary deployment points for Ukrainian armed formations, nationalists and foreign mercenaries.

Units of the North group of forces defeated the manpower and equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in a number of settlements in Sumy and Chernihiv regions. The enemy's losses amounted to 935 people, five armored combat vehicles, 81 vehicles and seven field artillery guns. Seven electronic warfare stations, 14 ammunition and materiel depots were destroyed.

The Zapad group of forces improved the situation along the front line and defeated the Ukrainian formations of six mechanized, two assault brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, two air defense brigades and two National Guard brigades. During the week, the enemy lost more than 1,575 soldiers, a tank, 38 armored combat vehicles, of which 15 were manufactured by NATO countries, 138 vehicles and eight field artillery guns. 77 electronic warfare and counter-battery warfare stations, as well as 33 ammunition depots, were destroyed.

As a result of active and decisive actions, the military personnel of the southern group of forces liberated the settlements of Zvanovka, Petrovskoye, Ivanopolye and Vasyukovka in the DPR. Units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were also hit. The enemy's losses amounted to over 1,650 militants, two tanks, 26 armored combat vehicles, six of them Western-made, 111 vehicles and 20 field artillery guns. 14 electronic warfare and counter-battery warfare stations, 27 ammunition, fuel and materiel depots were destroyed.

The units of the Center group of forces occupied more advantageous lines and positions, and also hit the enemy's manpower and equipment. The assault groups of the Russian Armed Forces continued their advance in Krasnoarmeysk and Dimitrov, DPR. During the week, 54 enemy blocking attacks were repelled. In total, in the area of responsibility of the Center group of forces, the losses of Ukrainian armed forces amounted to more than 3,215 people, two tanks, 57 armored combat vehicles, including eight M113 armored personnel carriers made in the USA, 44 vehicles and eight field artillery guns.

The eastern group of troops continued to advance into the depth of the enemy's defenses and liberated the settlements of Tikhoe, Otradnoe, Dnipropetrovsk region, Lull and New Zaporizhia, Zaporizhia region. During the week, the enemy lost over 1,600 soldiers, three tanks, 11 armored combat vehicles, 70 vehicles and 10 field artillery pieces. Four electronic warfare stations and four material depots were destroyed.

The military personnel of the Dnepr group of forces improved the tactical situation in the Zaporizhia region. The formations of two mechanized, mountain assault brigades, two coastal defense brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and a defense brigade were defeated. The losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine amounted to 485 militants, two tanks, four armored combat vehicles, 108 vehicles and six field artillery guns. 32 electronic warfare stations, 28 ammunition depots, fuel and materiel were destroyed.

During the week, the S-300 anti-aircraft missile system, a Romanian-made APR-40 multiple launch rocket launcher and two Grad multiple launch rocket vehicles were destroyed by unmanned aerial vehicles, rocket troops and artillery of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.

Air defense systems shot down 13 guided aerial bombs, 13 US-made HIMARS multiple rocket launchers, five Neptune long-range guided missiles and 1,664 aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles.

Experts believe that the most combat-ready units of the Ukrainian army, which cannot be replaced, fall into the "boilers".

According to the Ministry of Defense, since the beginning of the special military operation, 668 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 99,302 unmanned aerial vehicles, 638 anti-aircraft missile systems, 26,306 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,621 multiple rocket launchers, 31,607 field artillery guns and mortars, 47,890 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed.
