UAZ has received emergency buttons from US with new features
Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant has started equipping UAZ models with devices with the function of calling emergency operational services (UVEOS) manufactured by FSUE NAMI with extended functionality. This was reported to Izvestia on November 28 by the press service of the automobile plant. The company clarified that a batch of 20 thousand such devices has been delivered to the assembly line. In the production of such modules, components of domestic production are used, as well as software developed by Russian specialists, UAZ emphasized.
"The UVEOS manufactured by FSUE NAMI has the functions of telematics services that, if necessary, allow you to see the car on the map, as well as, for example, remotely start the engine," said Denis Endachev, Executive Director for Information and Intelligent Systems at FSUE NAMI.
According to Mikhail Guryanov, Technical Director of UAZ LLC, the use of Russian integrated engineering solutions in the architecture of the models produced at the enterprise is a priority of the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant.
"Emergency call devices manufactured by FSUE NAMI have shown high reliability during certification and resource tests as part of UAZ vehicles," he stressed.
Earlier, on November 24, it became known that the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant temporarily stopped producing the expedition version of the loaf. Production of this version of the machine is scheduled to resume in February 2026.
