A criminal case was opened in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk after the collapse of a construction site. This was reported on November 28 in the press service of the Investigative Department (SU) of the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia in the Sakhalin region.

"A criminal case has been opened into the collapse of the hangar (Article 216 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation)," the department wrote on its Telegram channel.

It is specified that this article provides for punishment for violation of safety rules during construction work. In addition, investigators and criminologists continue to work at the scene of the incident.

The partial collapse of a construction site in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk became known on the same day. It was noted that four people were injured in the incident.
