The captured fighter of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced his decision to escape from Ukraine in case of an exchange.

Artem Sadovey, a soldier of the 57th separate Motorized Infantry Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), voluntarily surrendered to Russian soldiers and said he would leave the territory of Ukraine if he returned there as part of an exchange.

"As soon as the opportunity arose, I would have left there (from Ukraine. — Ed.) <...> I will leave there, and as soon as possible," TASS quoted the prisoner as saying.

He noted that after returning from captivity, the soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are given a three-month vacation.

"During these three months, I could have done the paperwork and gone abroad," the prisoner explained.

Experts believe that the most combat-ready units of the Ukrainian army, which cannot be replaced, fall into the "boilers".

Artem Sadovey, a captured soldier from the Armed Forces of Ukraine, said on the same day that he had been sent to the line of combat contact with Russia during a special military operation for drunkenness.
