Stepashin allowed a reduction in the key rate to 6%

If the inflation rate slows to 4% in 2026, the key rate may be reduced to 6-7%. This was announced on November 28 by the former Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Chairman of the Russian Bar Association Sergey Stepashin.

"If we reach 4% inflation, the rate may be 6-7%, this is already normal," TASS quoted him as saying.
