State Duma deputies from the Fair Russia faction proposed to establish a progressive scale of maternity capital. Payments for the second child will amount to 933 thousand rubles, and for the third and subsequent ones - about 1.4 million rubles.

"It is proposed to establish the amount of maternal (family) capital in case of birth (adoption) of a second child starting from January 1, 2026, 933 thousand rubles (466,617 x 2= 933,234) and 139 thousand rubles (466,617 x 3=139,985) rubles in case of birth (adoption) of a third or subsequent children"- RIA Novosti reports.
