62 schools and kindergartens are planned to be renovated in the Kurgan region within two years. Governor Vadim Shumkov announced this in his Telegram channel.

"In 2026-2027, 48 more schools and 14 kindergartens will be renovated in the Kurgan region," the politician said.

According to the <url> news agency, over the past seven years, more than 400 educational institutions have been renovated in the Kurgan region. There are 19 new kindergartens and seven schools, including a physics and mathematics school with 1.5 thousand places in the regional center, which has become the largest in the region.

In 2026, it is planned to begin construction of a new school in the village of Ust-Uyskoye in the Virgin District. A new kindergarten will be opened in the village of Mostovsky in the Vargashinsky district. Meanwhile, the construction of a new modern gymnasium building with 200 seats continues in Kurgan.

This summer, it was reported about the comprehensive renovation of the Nikolai Karamzin Library, which is located in a building built in the late 1940s in the Severny microdistrict in Kurgan. The funds were allocated from the federal and regional budgets.
