- Almost a thousand lanterns were installed on Volgogradsky Prospekt and Marxistskaya Street.
Specialists of the municipal economy complex have completed the landscaping of Volgogradsky Prospekt and Marxistskaya Street. This was announced on Thursday, November 27, by Deputy Mayor of Moscow Peter Biryukov.
He noted that the main task was to improve pedestrian and transport accessibility, and the work was carried out in stages so as not to block traffic.
Biryukov stressed that the overhead communications were shifted to the cable sewer system, the sidewalks were expanded and their coating was replaced, more than 500 thousand square meters of asphalt were renewed and lighting was upgraded by installing about a thousand energy-saving lanterns. Unregulated transitions are equipped with contrast illumination.
The fencing on Volgogradsky Prospekt was replaced with a durable ellipsoidal concrete divider, 28 new bus shelters were installed and decorative fences were installed at enterprises. Biryukov also recalled that more than 1,400 large-sized trees are being planted along the highway and decorative green areas are being created, the Moscow City News agency notes.
