Nutritionist Olga Panova told us what temperature drinks should be at to avoid harm to health.

In an interview with Radio 1 on Thursday, November 27, she said that it is not recommended to drink ice water in the heat, because it is harmful to the stomach, and in winter, moreover, you should not overload the body with cold drinks when it needs to keep warm. At the same time, according to her, boiling water is also an undesirable option: too hot water can worsen chronic diseases and problems of the gastrointestinal tract.

The specialist stressed that warm water remains the best choice, which does not provoke disorders in the digestive tract and generally has a positive effect on the condition of the body.

On November 26, Panova warned that her favorite invigorating drinks in the cold season can imperceptibly harm the body. She noted that coffee contributes to dehydration of the body and after it it is advisable to drink a glass of water to restore balance.

Nutritionist Mariyat Mukhina, in an interview with RT on November 21, warned that drinking hot coffee in the cold can protect the throat from hypothermia, but at the same time causes serious damage to tooth enamel due to sudden temperature changes. To minimize the harm, the nutritionist advised drinking hot drinks through a straw to avoid direct contact with teeth.
