The expert pointed to the West's main economic blunder in relations with Russia
By their actions, Western countries are leading to the fact that they are depriving themselves of both Russian energy resources and the Chinese component base. This was stated on the air of Kommersant FM by Valery Andrianov, Associate professor at the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation, commenting on the results of the VII Russian-Chinese Energy Business Forum.
"The abandonment of Russian energy and secondary sanctions, sanctions pressure, will lead to the fact that the Western world will lose both Russian energy resources and the Chinese component base. As a result, this will lead to a serious crisis in the Western economy, and, of course, to a decline in the role of Western currencies," Andrianov said, noting that Igor Sechin, executive secretary of the Presidential Commission on Fuel and Energy, and head of Rosneft, pointed out these consequences in his speech at the event.
Andrianov stressed that in his speech Sechin had explicitly stated that the continuation of aggressive sanctions policy against Russia and China would bring the next economic crisis in Western countries closer.
"Being deprived of access to our country's resource base and China's component platform, Western opponents will lose their technological and economic subjectivity. We are already seeing many signs of such a crisis, including rising debt, loss of confidence in the established financial system, the search for some development alternatives, and uncontrolled migration," the expert noted, adding that there are no significant problems in relations between the Russian Federation and China that need to be clarified.
"The vector of our further cooperation is quite clear, and it remains only to put it into practice," concluded Andrianov.
