Russian Tu22m3 bombers performed a scheduled flight over the Baltic Sea

Crews of Tu-22m3 long-range bombers of the Russian Aerospace Forces performed a planned flight in the airspace over the neutral waters of the Baltic Sea. This was announced on November 27 by the Russian Defense Ministry.

"At certain stages of the route, long—range bombers were accompanied by fighters from foreign countries," the military department noted.

The flight lasting more than five hours was provided by the crews of Su-35s and Su-27 fighters. The Defense Ministry stressed that all flights of the Russian Aerospace Forces are carried out in strict accordance with international rules for the use of airspace.

On November 25, Tu-160 strategic missile carriers performed a scheduled flight in the airspace over the neutral waters of the Arctic Ocean. According to the agency, the flight duration of the Russian bombers exceeded 11 hours.
