Tourist tax to be introduced in Kolomna in 2026
Starting from January 1, 2026, Kolomna, Moscow region, plans to introduce a tourist tax. The rate will be 2% of the tax base with funds going to the local budget.
The tax will be introduced for owners of hotels, hostels, tourist bases and guest houses, writes the online publication Podmoskovye Segodnya. According to preliminary calculations, the budget revenue will amount to 11.4 million rubles per year.
The funds are planned to be used for the development of tourist infrastructure, including the improvement of streets and parks, the restoration of monuments and the creation of comfortable areas for local residents and guests of Kolomna.
About 2 million people have visited the city since the beginning of 2025.
In 2026, the Trans-Baikal Territory will receive more than 47 million rubles for the development of tourism. The funds will be allocated from the federal budget for events, camping facilities and the purchase of equipment to promote tourism potential.
