On November 27, Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke with reporters following his visit to Bishkek, where the summit of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) was held. During his speech, the President touched upon key topics of cooperation.: security, energy, and others. Vladimir Putin's main statements are in the Izvestia article.

On the work of the CSTO and the role of Kyrgyzstan

Russia highly appreciates the results of joint work in the CSTO, Russian President Vladimir Putin said. The work of the CSTO under the chairmanship of Kyrgyzstan has strengthened the organization.

"In general, we highly appreciate the results of this joint work [in the CSTO]," the head of state said at a press conference following his visit to Kyrgyzstan.

The Russian President considers the work of the CSTO to be an element of stability in the current turbulent conditions.

"And throughout the year, during which Kyrgyzstan headed the CSTO, various events were held, and, of course, this contributed to the strengthening of the organization. In my opinion, in today's turbulent conditions, to put it bluntly, this is an important element of stability in our entire common space," Putin told reporters.

Russian President Vladimir Putin thanked Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov for the invitation to pay a state visit to the country.

"I am grateful to the President of Kyrgyzstan for his invitation to pay a high—level diplomatic visit to Kyrgyzstan, and for the attention of our entire delegation," Putin said.

About the defense industry

First of all, Russia must meet its needs in the field of the defense industry in its own conditions, Putin said.

"In the context of a special military operation, we currently have few opportunities for some components, that is, they are great, but we must meet our needs in certain areas. We're totally doing it. I don't think our production capacities (in the defense industry — ed.) are overestimated, but nevertheless we not only meet our needs and even export them," the president said.

About joint exercises

The CSTO countries will continue to conduct joint exercises, including through the special services, the Russian president said.

"We will continue, as we have done before, to conduct relevant joint exercises with the CSTO countries in all areas. This concerns not only cooperation between the armed forces, but also work between special services," Putin said.

About contacts with Armenia

Russia is in contact with Armenia through the CSTO, Putin said.

"Since Armenia is a member of the organization, we are in contact with them, Russia," the president explained.

On the export of weapons

Russia is ready to share with its CSTO partners, the Russian president said.

"We provide preferential conditions for the purchase of our weapons and equipment for the CSTO countries. All of this is working, it's working quite effectively," the Russian leader said.
Russia not only fully satisfies its needs in certain areas of armaments and equipment, but also exports them, the president added.

About drones

Russia has done a lot in the field of unmanned vehicles, this is a revolution for the Russian Federation, Putin said.
"Of course, we did a lot of things simply. I believe this is a revolution for us in the field of unmanned vehicles and unmanned aerial vehicles," Putin told reporters.
