A man got under the wheels of a freight train in the Krasnoyarsk Territory

In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, a man was hit by a freight train on a stretch between Ilanka and Kansk-Yeniseisky stations. This is reported by the press service of the Siberian Transport Police on Telegram.

The tragedy occurred on Thursday morning, November 27. Information about the incident was received by the duty station of the linear department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs at Ilanskaya station.

The police officers who arrived at the scene found that the 47-year-old local resident, violating the rules, crossed the tracks in the wrong place in front of the approaching train. Despite the measures taken by the locomotive crew, the collision could not be avoided.

The victim was taken to the hospital by ambulance, writes KrasnoyarskMedia news agency. Doctors assess his condition as serious.

The transport police reminded that it is forbidden to cross the tracks in front of the train if the distance to it is less than 400 meters. It is especially dangerous to cross the railway line in areas where visibility is limited in at least one direction.
