- Volunteers in the east of Moscow sent 17 tons of humanitarian aid for their fighters
The volunteers of the Eastern Administrative District of Moscow sent the eighth humanitarian convoy to the free zone. The total weight of the humanitarian cargo was 17 tons, according to the Association of Cultural Centers of the VAO.
Medicines, food, household appliances, tools, building materials, clothing and components for military equipment were sent to the soldiers. Upon request, a diesel generator, 20 heaters, eight chainsaws, 10 walkie-talkies and 10 anti-drone blankets were prepared for the fighters.
Humanitarian aid was collected at the district's volunteer headquarters on Mironovskaya Street. And in the House of Friends volunteering and volunteerism center on an Open Highway, activists, together with local residents, made dugout candles and wove camouflage nets, which were also sent to their area.
An action was recently held in the district to send letters and mascots to participants of a special military operation. Such actions are organized before each departure of a humanitarian convoy. This time, residents made 156 talismans and wrote 280 letters.
Since the beginning of the year, the volunteer headquarters of the VAO has sent about 220 tons of humanitarian aid to the participants of the VAO, as well as to orphanages and hospitals in the Donetsk People's Republic. In total, since 2022, the district volunteer headquarters has organized 43 humanitarian convoys with cargo weighing more than 525 tons.
