A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. Units of the North group of forces defeated formations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in a number of settlements in the Kharkiv and Sumy regions. The enemy lost more than 135 people and 12 vehicles.

The military personnel of the Zapad group of forces improved their tactical situation and defeated Ukrainian units in the areas of settlements in the Kharkiv region and the DPR. The enemy's losses amounted to up to 235 soldiers, eight armored combat vehicles, including three HMMWV armored vehicles made in the United States, a 155-mm M777 howitzer made in the United States, 21 vehicles, ten electronic warfare stations, an AN/TPQ-50 counter-battery radar station made in the United States and two ammunition depots.

The "southern" group of troops decisively liberated the village of Vasyukovka in the DPR. The Ukrainian Armed Forces units were also defeated in a number of DPR settlements. The enemy lost up to 230 soldiers, a tank, seven armored combat vehicles, including two HMMWV armored vehicles, 15 vehicles, a Grad multiple rocket launcher combat vehicle and six artillery pieces, including three Western-made. An American-made AN/TPQ-36 counter-battery radar, an Israeli-made RADA radar, an electronic warfare station, and seven ammunition, materiel, and fuel depots were destroyed.

The units of the Center group of forces have improved their position along the front line. They defeated the enemy's manpower and equipment in a number of settlements of the DPR and the Dnipropetrovsk region. The Russian Armed Forces continued to destroy the encircled units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Krasnoarmeysk and Dimitrov in the DPR, eight blocking attacks were repelled. The enemy lost more than 465 fighters, a tank, nine armored combat vehicles and five vehicles.

The Vostok group of troops continued to advance into the depth of the enemy's defenses and defeated the Armed Forces of Ukraine formations in the settlements of the Zaporizhia and Dnipropetrovsk regions. The enemy's losses amounted to 210 people, two tanks, 14 vehicles, a self-propelled artillery installation and an electronic warfare station.

Units of the Dnepr group of forces defeated the manpower and equipment of the mechanized, mountain assault brigades, and coastal defense brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the areas of the settlements of Novoandreevka, Stepnogorsk, Zaporizhia region, Antonovka, Otradokamenka, Nikolskoye, Kherson region, and the city of Kherson. Up to 80 militants, 15 vehicles, five electronic warfare stations, three ammunition depots, materiel and fuel were destroyed.

Tactical aviation, unmanned aerial vehicles, missile forces and artillery of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation defeated warehouses and control points of unmanned aerial vehicles, satellite communications, energy facilities of Ukraine used in the interests of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as temporary locations of Ukrainian armed forces and foreign mercenaries in 148 areas.

Air defense systems shot down five guided aerial bombs, eight US-made HIMARS multiple rocket launchers, a long-range guided missile "Neptune" and 263 aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles.

According to the Ministry of Defense, since the beginning of the special military operation, 668 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 99,114 unmanned aerial vehicles, 638 anti-aircraft missile systems, 26,294 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,621 multiple rocket launchers, 31587 field artillery and mortars, 47,814 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed.
