American basketball player Ethan Dietz, who played for the Connors College team (Oklahoma), died at the age of 20 due to an injury sustained during a game by the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA). This was reported on November 27 by The Guardian newspaper.

"Ethan Dietz, a sophomore at Connors College of Basketball in Oklahoma, died from an injury sustained during the game," the publication says.

After the death of the athlete, several college basketball games were canceled.

It is specified that Dietz played as a forward.

Earlier, on October 30, a teenager in Australia died after being hit by a ball in his neck during cricket practice. It was clarified that at first he was taken to the hospital in critical condition and connected to a life support system, but the teenager died the next day.
