Russian President Vladimir Putin talks to the press following his visit to Bishkek. Izvestia is broadcasting on Thursday, November 27.
Putin has been in Kyrgyzstan on a state visit since November 25.
On November 26, at a meeting with Kyrgyz leader Sadyr Japarov, the Russian president discussed issues of expanding military-technical cooperation (MTC) and military cooperation. According to Vladimir Putin, he and his Kyrgyz counterpart have also outlined plans for joint work in countering terrorism, extremism, drug trafficking and organized crime.
The next day, Putin proposed to start preparing a new anti-terrorist strategy for the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO). He also called the CSTO a reliable guarantor of security and stability in the Eurasian space.
