The Southern District Military Court in Rostov-on-Don sentenced eight defendants in the case of the terrorist attack on the Crimean Bridge in 2022 to life in prison. This was reported on November 29 by a correspondent of Izvestia.
Artyom Azatyan, Georgy Azatyan, Oleg Antipov, Alexander Bylin, Vladimir Zlob, Dmitry Gornykh, Roman Solomko and Artur Terchanyan (listed in the Russian Federation as terrorists and extremists) are charged under paragraph "b" of Part 3 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code ("Terrorist act") and part 4 of Article 222.1 of the Criminal Code ("Illegal acquisition, transfer, sale, storage, transportation, transfer or carrying of explosives or explosive devices"). Solomko and Terchanyan were also charged under Part 3 of Article 226.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Smuggling of explosive devices").
