Farewell to Nikita Simonyan began at Spartak Stadium

The farewell ceremony for legendary football player and coach Nikita Simonyan has begun at the stadium of Spartak football club. This was announced on November 27 by the press service of the Russian Football Union (RFU).

Mikhail Degtyarev, Minister of Sports and President of the Russian Olympic Committee, read out a telegram from Russian President Vladimir Putin, in which the head of state expressed condolences to Simonyan's family and friends. On behalf of the president, a funeral wreath was laid at the coffin of the football legend.
