The Soyuz-2.1a rocket with the Soyuz MS-28 manned transport spacecraft, which will deliver Russian and American cosmonauts to the International Space Station (ISS), will launch on November 27 from the Baikonur cosmodrome. Izvestia is broadcasting the event.

The rocket launch is scheduled from the 31st Baikonur launch pad at 12:28 Moscow time. The spacecraft is expected to dock with the Rassvet module of the Russian segment of the ISS at approximately 15:38 Moscow time.

The main crew of the spacecraft consists of cosmonauts of the Roscosmos state Corporation Sergey Kud-Sverchkov and Sergey Mikaev, as well as NASA astronaut Christopher Williams. The crew is scheduled to spend 242 days in orbit and return to Earth at the end of July next year. Over 40 experiments and two spacewalks are planned as part of the mission.
