AvtoVAZ intends to return to the five-day period from January
AvtoVAZ is currently planning to return to a full five-day working week starting in January 2026 due to a higher production plan. This was reported to Izvestia on November 27 by the company's press service.
"In this regard, the wages of employees will return to 100 percent values...> No cuts are envisaged, the hiring of workers continues, and the number of voluntary layoffs is decreasing (compared to previous months)," the company said.
AvtoVAZ clarified that the production schedule and shifts are determined based on market demand. For example, at the Tolyatti plant, Line No. 3, which produces Lada Granta and Iskra, will continue to work in two shifts, and part of the component production will maintain a three-shift schedule.
The fact that AvtoVAZ will operate in a four-day week mode by the end of the year was announced on October 21 by Maxim Sokolov, the head of the automobile company.
On November 25, Sokolov announced that the company's investment program in 2025 would amount to 45 billion rubles, with a similar investment planned for next year.
