The Russian low-orbit satellite constellation for broadband satellite communications, Rassvet, is a sovereign response to the American Starlink satellite communications system. This was announced by the head of the State Duma Committee on Information Policy, Sergei Boyarsky.
"I am convinced that yes. Probably, it will be so. This is indeed our sovereign response to Starlink, which is handled by Bureau 1440," he said in an interview with TASS.
