South Korea confirms death of its mercenary in Ukraine
A foreign mercenary from South Korea has been killed in Ukraine, and his death has been confirmed by officials. This was reported on November 27 by the Yonhap news agency.
"The funeral of a man known only by his surname Kim and aged about 50 years old took place in Kiev on Tuesday. <...> The ceremony was attended by an employee of the consular mission of South Korea in Ukraine," the publication says.
The mercenary died during the fighting in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) in May of this year. It is noted that his death was confirmed by a representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of South Korea.
Alejandro Toro, a Colombian deputy from the ruling Historical Pact coalition, said on November 19 that 20 Colombian mercenaries die every week in Ukraine, and in this regard, the Colombian parliament should support a bill on the country's accession to the 1989 Convention on Combating Mercenary Activities.
