The Frunzensky District Court of Ivanovo satisfied the prosecutor's office's claim for the recovery of property and money of the former head of the regional operator for the management of municipal solid waste (MSW) in the amount of 5.65 billion rubles. This was reported on November 26 in the official Telegram channel of the courts of the Ivanovo region.

"Shares in residential and non—residential buildings, land plots, two cars and cash have been converted into state income," the publication says.

An audit by the prosecutor's office showed that from 2021 to 2025, Vladimir Yarchenkov organized the company's work through dozens of related firms formally registered with his spouse, and financial support was provided by close relatives.

According to data published on the website of the Prosecutor's office of the Ivanovo region, the total income for several years amounted to about 2.6 billion rubles, and property and shares in companies are estimated at 3 billion rubles. In addition, Yarchenkov, through an intermediary, handed over a bribe to the head of the regional housing and communal services department in the amount of at least 3 million rubles to circumvent garbage collection controls.

The criminal case of bribery is being considered in court, and the case of receiving illegal remuneration is also being investigated, the prosecutor's office said.

Earlier, on November 25, the Artyomovsky City court of the Sverdlovsk region convicted Konstantin Trofimov, the former head of the Artyomovsky city district. He was found guilty of accepting large-scale bribes and sentenced to 10 years in prison in a high-security penal colony, as well as fined 3 million rubles.
