Hegseth announced the critical condition of the wounded US National guardsmen.

Pentagon Chief Pete Hegseth said on November 26 that the condition of the two National guardsmen injured in the shooting at the White House remains critical.

"Two National guardsmen received gunshot wounds in Washington, they are in critical condition," Hegseth told reporters, the statement was broadcast on the social network X (ex. Twitter) of the US Department of War.

It is noted that an additional 500 National guardsmen will be sent to Washington.

The shooting at the White House was reported earlier in the day. It is noted that the health status of the victims remains unknown. White House spokeswoman Caroline Leavitt said Trump had been informed of the incident.

The US police announced the arrest of a suspect in the shooting. Vice President of the United States Jay Dee Vance announced the unknown motives of the shooter at the White House.

Later, Trump announced the critical condition of two National guardsmen after the shooting at the White House.
