Washington police chief reveals details of shooting at White House
The detained suspect in the shooting at the National guardsmen at the White House acted alone. This was announced on November 26 by Jeff Carroll, Assistant Chief of Police for Special Operations of the Metropolitan Police Department.
"It seems that it was a single shooter who raised his weapon and ambushed the National Guard soldiers. He was quickly detained by other National Guard soldiers," Carroll told reporters.
It is noted that the suspect currently remains in hospital due to his injuries.
According to the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the shooting near the White House in Washington is considered an attack on National Guard officers.
