Deputy Nemkin appreciated the possibility of blocking the WhatsApp messenger

Anton Nemkin, a member of the State Duma Committee on Information Policy, Information Technologies and Communications, said on November 26 that blocking the Whatsapp messenger (owned by Meta, a company recognized as extremist in Russia) was a matter of time.

"When a service systematically ignores our rules, threatens people's safety, and continues to operate in the country without the slightest respect for its laws, it is only a matter of time before it is blocked," he wrote on his Telegram channel.
