Ukraine, the European Union (EU) and the United Kingdom are opposed to the peace plan of US President Donald Trump. This was stated by Evgeny Minchenko, President of the Minchenko Consulting communications holding, on Wednesday, November 26.

According to the expert, Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky is currently trying to disrupt the negotiations. Minchenko added that opponents of peace are also represented in the American establishment.

At the same time, the expert noted in an interview with Lenta.Ru that currently the chances of success of the peace talks are much higher than during the early attempts.

Earlier in the day, Russian Ambassador to the UK Andrey Kelin said that London hopes to continue arming Ukraine and try to put pressure on Russia, RT reports.

According to him, the UK is only interested in stopping the fighting, and not in a peace plan for Ukraine, according to the website. kp.ru . They continue the policy of arming Kiev, while not realizing that the issue is not the lack of weapons, but the lack of the necessary number of replenishment of the Ukrainian armed forces, the ambassador noted.

CNN reported on the same day that Ukraine did not agree with the three points of the U.S. peace plan for resolving the conflict, which are fundamental to Russia.

It is claimed that the first point, which Kiev did not accept, concerns the territories of Donbass, which are still under the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). It is noted that "some progress" has been made on this issue, but it still requires agreement on the wording.

In addition, according to CNN, the discussion continues around limiting the size of the Ukrainian army. Kiev insists on higher rates than the proposed 600,000 soldiers. The most unacceptable condition for the Ukrainian side, according to the sources of the TV channel, remains the requirement to renounce membership in NATO.

On November 25, US President Donald Trump instructed Witkoff to hold a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow. At the same time, Daniel Driscoll, the special envoy of the President of the United States for Ukraine, is to hold talks with representatives of Ukraine.

Trump also announced the proximity of a deal on a peaceful settlement of the conflict in Ukraine. He thought that this conflict would be resolved faster, adding that ending the Ukrainian crisis should have been easier than other conflicts.
