It is impossible to resort to heavy physical exertion without prior preparation, as this can have a negative impact on the cardiovascular system. Elvira Khachirova, Associate Professor of the Department of Propaedeutics of Internal Diseases at Pirogov University, told about this on Wednesday, November 26.

According to the expert, a gradual increase in stress allows the heart, muscles, joints, and other organs and body systems to strengthen and prepare for stress, while a sharp increase in stress levels increases the risk of overwork, injury, and disease. Such a load especially affects the cardiovascular system, she added.

"With severe overloads, especially without prior training, the heart is forced to work in a stressful mode to ensure that more oxygen is supplied to the muscles. Such a leap may exceed the limits of his capabilities. This can lead to an inadequate increase in blood pressure, which creates additional stress on an already overloaded heart," Khachirova said in an interview with Lenta.Ru .

The doctor stressed that heart exhaustion can lead to the development of cardiovascular disasters such as heart attack and stroke. Sudden loads can also contribute to the formation of blood clots.

She clarified that children and the elderly are most vulnerable to such loads and to the consequences of overloads.

Khachirova recommended starting intensive workouts smoothly and gradually increasing the load to give the cardiovascular system time to adapt.

Earlier this day, Evgeniya Yekusheva, MD, Professor, member of the Haleon Expert council, told Izvestia that sedentary work, physical inactivity or excess weight can provoke microtrauma and inflammation of cartilage in joints.

According to the expert, moderate physical activity is a useful habit for maintaining joint health, RT reports.

On October 28, Daria Kozhevnikova, head of the BeneFit fitness studio, reminded NSN that the human body is designed for active physical activity. According to the expert, the lack of necessary daily physical activity leads to apathy and fatigue.
