Russia wants to create a regional system for providing tax deductions to young professionals working in the fields of education, medicine, science, culture and art. As Izvestia found out on November 26, such a bill will soon be sent for recall to the government by deputies of the Fair Russia faction led by Sergei Mironov. The co-author of the initiative was Deputy Alexander Remezkov.

"We propose to grant the right to regional legislative authorities to establish a tax deduction for young professionals under the age of 35 who work in the field of education, healthcare, science, culture and art. The amount of tax benefits, the list of positions and professions that will be eligible for it should be determined based on the financial capabilities and labor needs in each specific region," Sergei Mironov explained to Izvestia.

The draft law itself, which is available to Izvestia, states that regional authorities should be able to set requirements for work experience in the specialty, the period of residence in the subject, as well as additional requirements for obtaining a tax deduction.

"The adoption of the bill will allow the regions to get a working tool to attract young people to the most needy sectors of the economy. To the system of education, healthcare, culture and art. To a place where there is a catastrophic shortage of specialists today, and especially young people, who often refuse to work in their profession after graduating from colleges and specialized universities," said Sergey Mironov.
