The Control and Disciplinary Committee of the Russian Football Union (RFU KDC) fined Spartak and CSKA football clubs following the match of the 16th round of the Russian Premier League (RPL), which ended in a 1-0 victory for the red-whites. This was announced on November 26 by Artur Grigoryants, head of the RFU KDC.

He noted that the reason for the sanctions were offensive chants from fans of both teams, as well as a fight that occurred at the end of the match. The decision was made on the totality of violations of the disciplinary regulations.

Following the meeting, Spartak will have to pay a fine of 800 thousand rubles for failure to ensure security, as well as illegal actions of the audience. Another 200,000 rubles will have to be paid to the club for profanity and insults shouted by fans.

FC CSKA must also pay 200 thousand rubles for the illegal actions of a fan, and another 20 thousand rubles for the profanity of its viewers, writes Sport—Express.

Irina Volk, the official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, reported on November 24 that 95 people were detained in Moscow for violating public order during and after the match between Spartak and CSKA. At the same time, the CSKA fan who provoked the conflict has already appeared in court: he was given five days of administrative arrest and banned from attending official sports competitions for three years.

The meeting of the teams took place on November 22 at the Otkritie Bank Arena stadium. Spartak midfielder Christopher Martins scored the only goal in the 67th minute. Kirill Breido, the director of communications of the army club, noted at the same time that he expected a quick trial from law enforcement officials in connection with the incident in which Spartak fans beat an army fan after a match.
