The state prosecution has requested 12 years in a high-security penal colony for Yevgeny Gorlov, the former acting deputy governor of Sevastopol, in a case of bribery. Lawyer Alexander Karabanov told Izvestia about this on November 26.

In turn, the defense asked the court to impose a more lenient punishment on Gorlov and take into account his active contribution to the investigation, confession and confession.

In addition, the prosecutor requested a fine of 360 million rubles.

On October 23, it became known that the Basmanny Court of Moscow had arrested Gorlov in a corruption case. The official was caught red-handed back in August while receiving a bribe of 6 million rubles, which he demanded from a representative of the Sevastopolgaz company.

Earlier, on August 6, Sevastopol Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev announced Gorlov's dismissal. As Razvozhaev commented on his Telegram channel, "it is a pity that there are those who still have not understood that any manifestation of corruption at any level will be punished."
