Tarabrin noted the desire of Western countries to dominate the organization

The countries of the collective West are striving to dominate the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW). This was announced on November 26 by Russia's Permanent Representative to the organization, Vladimir Tarabrin, during a speech at the 30th Annual Conference of the OPCW member States.

"The countries of the collective West are striving for complete dominance in the organization," TASS quoted him as saying.

Tarabrin also stressed that attempts are being made to discredit and isolate sovereignly operating countries in order to achieve this goal.

A group of experts from the organization may come to Russia to present evidence of Kiev's use of chemical weapons.

In May, the permanent mission of the Russian Federation to the OPCW reported that the actions of Western states to politicize the organization provoke a split within the structure and have a negative impact on its activities. In addition, the Permanent Mission stressed that the West is actively using the OPCW site as a platform for political statements and propaganda actions.
