A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. The North group of troops defeated formations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in a number of settlements in the Kharkiv and Sumy regions. Two ammunition depots and seven material depots were destroyed.

The military personnel of the Zapad group of forces have improved their tactical situation. The manpower and equipment of the AFU brigades in the Kharkiv region and the DPR were defeated. The enemy's losses amounted to up to 230 soldiers, an infantry fighting vehicle, a US-made M113 armored personnel carrier, two armored combat vehicles, 20 vehicles, three field artillery guns, ten electronic warfare stations and six ammunition depots.

Units of the southern group of forces occupied more advantageous lines and positions, and also defeated Ukrainian formations in a number of settlements of the DPR. The enemy lost up to 275 militants, an infantry fighting vehicle, a Cossack armored car, 16 vehicles and two artillery pieces. The US-made AN/TPQ-50 counter-battery radar, an electronic warfare station and an ammunition depot were destroyed.

The group of troops "Center" improved the situation along the front line and defeated the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the areas of the settlements of the DPR and the Dnipropetrovsk region. The destruction of the encircled enemy group in Krasnoarmeysk and Dimitrov of the DPR was also continued, eight enemy blocking attacks were repelled. In total, in the area of responsibility of the Center group of forces, enemy losses amounted to more than 450 people, a tank, seven armored combat vehicles, four pickup trucks, two field artillery guns and a US-made AN/TPQ-50 counter-battery radar station.

The eastern group of troops continued to advance into the depth of the enemy's defenses and defeated Ukrainian formations in a number of settlements in the Zaporizhia and Dnipropetrovsk regions. The Ukrainian Armed Forces lost more than 240 soldiers, a tank, 10 vehicles, a field artillery piece, an electronic warfare station and four material depots.

Units of the Dnepr group of forces defeated the manpower and equipment of the mechanized and mountain assault brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the areas of the settlements of Lukyanovskoye, Odarovka, Novoyakovlevka, Zaporizhia region, Nikolskoye and Ivanovka, Kherson region. Up to 85 militants, an armored combat vehicle, 12 vehicles, an artillery piece, two radar stations, two ammunition depots and two fuel depots were destroyed.

Operational-tactical aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicles, missile forces and artillery of groups of troops of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation defeated the workshop for the production of ammunition, energy and transport infrastructure facilities of Ukraine used in the interests of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as temporary locations of Ukrainian armed forces and foreign mercenaries in 143 areas.

Six guided aerial bombs, four US-made HIMARS multiple rocket launchers and 154 aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles were shot down by air defense systems.

The success of the operation to eliminate the boiler in the south of the DPR largely depends on the actions of the drone operators.

According to the Ministry of Defense, since the beginning of the special military operation, 668 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 9,851 unmanned aerial vehicles, 638 anti-aircraft missile systems, 26,266 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,620 multiple rocket launchers, 31564 field artillery and mortars, 47712 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed.
