Sales of the new Citymax 8 urban low-floor bus manufactured by the Pavlovsky Bus Plant (PAZ) have begun in Russia. The model is designed for medium-length routes, according to a statement from the distributor company Modern Transport Technologies, which was received by Izvestia on November 26.

The Citymax 8 has a capacity of 32 passengers. There are 22 seats in the cabin: 19 main seats along the way and three folding seats on the storage area. Another additional service seat is located in the cabin next to the driver.

The bus features a low floor level without steps at the entrance and a wide double-leaf door, an area for accommodating a wheelchair or a baby carriage in the cabin, a low glazing line and an adjustable rear air suspension. At the request of the customer, the bus can be equipped with air conditioning, a video surveillance system, an auto-informator with a running line, USB charging, a passenger counting system, a tachograph and other equipment.

The Citymax 8 is equipped with a Euro-5 ecological class G51D diesel engine. It develops 149.6 hp (420 Nm). According to the company, the body frame is made according to the "closed frame" scheme, which increases the stability of the structure in the event of an accident and forms a strong protective contour around the passenger space. From the outside, the power frame is covered with panels made of composite materials, characterized by low weight and corrosion resistance. The car has LED optics, a brake system with disc mechanisms on all wheels, anti-lock and anti-slip systems.

Earlier, on November 18, it was reported that the Citymax 12 low-floor city bus manufactured by Likinsky Bus Plant (LiAZ) went on sale in Russia.

All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
