The average premium on annual CTP policies for 10 months of 2025 was 7,275 rubles, which is 4.9% lower than in the same period last year. This was announced on November 26 by the Russian Union of Motor Insurers (RSA).

The average payment for annual CTP policies in January-October showed an increase of 16% year-on-year and reached 115.8 thousand rubles. As for October, the premium decreased by 4.6% compared to the middle of autumn last year and amounted to 7,278 rubles, while the average payout increased by 17.8% to 122.6 thousand rubles.

The total amount of payments for 10 months of 2025, according to RSA estimates, amounted to 187.8 billion rubles. The number of contracts concluded during this period reached 43.1 million, of which 6.1 million were for short-term CTP policies. The CTP premiums collected during this period amounted to 270.9 billion rubles.

The head of the RSA, Evgeny Ufimtsev, drew attention to the fact that drivers try to avoid accidents and follow the rules, since the lower their bonus-malus coefficient (KBM), the cheaper insurance costs. He stated that insurers are maintaining the level of the average premium, despite a permanent increase in the average payment for mandatory "auto insurance", as well as fluctuations in spare parts prices and an increase in total repair costs for CTP.

Earlier that day, it was reported that the system for checking the availability of CTP policies using cameras will be adjusted in such a way as to exclude false fines for the "absence" of insurance. This will allow you to avoid incorrect fines from cameras if, for one reason or another, the license plate number of the car was not specified during the registration of the policy.
